A seed from a South American palm tree, tagua is dried, sliced, and inlayed resulting in a unique and organic look. Tagua is also known as palm ivory and is used as a sustainable alternative. Tagua is the nut of the Ivory Palm, a tree native to the tropical rainforests of South America. When the tree's fruit matures, it falls to the ground where it is harvested by local farmers. Tagua fruit contains a cluster of seeds which our artisans carve out to reveal the white, ivory-like nut that are sliced and inlaid into wood. Carefully selected & ethically-sourced natural materials allow for infinite variations resulting in one-of-a-kind designs. Every piece in our collection is entirely handmade from start to finish.

Materials: Wood - Tagua / Palm Ivory.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid using soap, detergent, or other cleaning agents. We recommend a metal polishing cloth to keep German silver as good as new.
